Culainn's Hound

I am a man of Ulster born
And to this land my heart is sworn
The future days, unclear to me
My faith is still a mystery

My heart was torn from far away
Just what it was I couldn't say
I couldn't flee I couldn't fight
Then upon the rock I saw her light

A standing stone across the sky
I held a stick to the heavens high
I challenge you to challenge me
The greatest warrior you'll ever see
The raven spoke from atop the stone
Her featherd coat in sunlight shone
There lives a man within this child
And I do claim his spirit

'Neath the watchful eye of the jet black crow
Tall and stong this lad did grow
With rival none I walked alone
I made my bed in the forest loam

To the chieftain's banquet late I came
No one answered when I called my name
With eyes of red and teeth of white
The hound attacked me in the dead of night

I threw my ball at the black dogs maw
It lodged down deep in the creatures craw
Cullain said "my dog is dead, my land defenseless in times ahead
Setanta, what am I to do, my beast has proved no match for you
Your honor's strong won't you stand your ground,
"will you become Culainn's hound"
My honor's strong so I stood my ground
And I became Culainn's hound

I'm the hound of Cullain, I'm Cullains Hound
